    Our dedicated and experienced team of Swim Instructors are all fully qualified and equipped to teach people of all ages, fitness levels and experience.
    Our Swim Instructors are extremely patient and caring, and have a particular passion for teaching and looking after children.
    The instructors prioritise safety above all else and are extremely diligent in ensuring this.
  • Alana Dowsett

    Growing up on the North Coast with the ocean at her front door ignited Alana's love for water.

    Alana feels it’s vital that every Australian should be given the opportunity to learn the lifesaving skill of swimming.

    Combining her passion of child development, health, and her love of water, Alana went on to join the Elixr Swim Team.

  • Ashleigh O’Donnell

    Ash’s love for swimming started as soon as she stepped into the water when she was two years old. She swam competitively right through to her teenage years.

    She strives to better her students each lesson and has a passion for promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

    She hopes to progress further into her swim teaching career and study Infant & Preschool Aquatics. Ash also has a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science.

    Ash is always smiling and open to chat at any time around the club!

  • Bess McMahon-Hogan

    Bess’ passion for water safety and her ability to relate to children makes her an enthusiastic addition to the Elixr team.  Having taught swimming both in her hometown of Bathurst and the UK, she brings a multitude of experiences to the pool.

    Currently studying a double degree of Social Work and Criminology at UNSW, Bess hopes to one day work in child protection.

  • Cassy Heschl

    Cassy was born and bred in Bondi, so naturally there was no question about learning to swim from a young age; from Paddling Pool as a toddler to the Bondi Nippers and Icebergs as a youngster.

    Cassy is a caring, patient and passionate instructor. She believes that everyone deserves the skill of swimming, along with being able to it incorporate into a regular fitness lifestyle.

  • Grace Butel-Simoes

    Grace has a strong swimming background having competed at a state level for seven years. She has a passion for swimming and greatly enjoys teaching others this amazing life skill. Grace has taught swimming for over two years in the Hunter Valley and Sydney.

    Grace is fully qualified to teach infants through to the elderly of all skill levels. Grace is currently a medical student at UNSW.

  • Joy Churat

    Joy grew up in the East Coast and always had a natural love for water. She is a qualified Swim Instructor as well as a certified Scuba Diving Instructor & has taught in Cyprus, Thailand and Australia.

    Joy is now following her passion as a Swim Instructor. She believes in absolute dedication to water safety and having fun at the time! She is fully qualified to teach infants and preschool children of all skill levels.

     

     

  • Kirrah Moclair

    Kirrah grew up in Bondi which created her love for the water, in the ocean and the pool. Kirrah began swimming at the age of one and swam competitively until she was 14. Along with swimming she loves surfing and any water activity. Kirrah has been teaching people how to swim since she was old enough to be qualified and has loved every minute of it!

  • Lee Adamthwaite

    Lee began swimming before he could even walk and now has a passion for everything water related.

    Along with his love for swimming and surfing, Lee is also an active member of Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club where he volunteers his time to make the beach a safer place.

    Lee is currently studying Neuroscience and Psychology at the the University of Sydney with the aim to one day be a doctor.

  • Lisa Marangon

    Lisa regularly competes as a professional triathlete, and as a mum with her son!

    Lisa teaches Swimming and Aqua Aerobics classes at Elixr. Lisa's triathalon experience, positive energy, and caring nature makes her a unique and wonderful teacher.

  • Sammy Wood

    Sammy began swimming at a competitive level at a young age, eventually progressing to a national level.

    Because of her love for the water, Sammy also volunteers as a Surf Life Saver in Manly.

    From her experiences of working with young people, Sammy has gone on to begin her university education with a Bachelor of Primary Education Degree.

  • Victoria Rich
    Swim School Coordinator

    Victoria coordinates the Elixr Swim School. She has taught swimming for 15 years in the UK, USA and Australia, working in a wide variety of swim schools and teaching environments from indoor pleasure pools and Olympic diving centres.  Victoria is qualified and well experienced to teach with all ages 6 months to adults; she loves the pool and the rewards of seeing children progress in swimming as a sport and an essential life skill.

    Outside of the pool she has a very active lifestyle at home being mum to three children.
