    Elixr’s Yoga teachers embrace Yoga as a way of life, with many having spent time living and training in India. Elixr is unique in that we have a team of Yoga teachers that specialise in authentic yoga disciplines - Hatha, Iyengar and Ashtanga - providing you with the opportunity to experience and choose the style of Yoga and teaching that is most suited to you.
  • Alex Munday

    Alex’s interest in Yoga developed when classes were offered at her workplace in 2003. Following this, Alex studied with several different teachers around Sydney and beyond, with a focus on the more dynamic forms of Yoga. Alex spent time in India studying Yoga and then undertook further teacher training with Trevor Tangye at Elixr. 

  • Colleen Harvey

    Colleen teaches Prenatal Yoga in an invigorating yet nurturing multi-level class helping you to maintain comfort, strength, flexibility, and wellness during pregnancy. It is a fusion of Yoga and body mind techniques gleaned from the world’s foremost teachers including Krishnamacharya, Iyengar, Alexander Technique, and Donna Farhi.

    Colleen has fused and attuned these techniques and poses specifically to prepare for childbirth and to therapeutically alleviate the strains of the pregnant body.

  • Dan Fanthorpe

    Dan started teaching Yoga in New Zealand in 1997, and has a background in Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa.

    Dan travels regularly to India for both study and teaching. He guides students toward a comfortable stillness in class, and aims to teach them how to create a balanced body and balanced mind.

  • Margaret Ceresoli

    A certified Iyengar Yoga teacher with 24 years teaching experience, Margaret has a keen and ongoing interest in all matters pertaining to the ethical, spiritual and philosophical aspects of Yoga.

    Her wealth of knowledge and personal teaching abilities has students lining up for her classes.

    Margaret and her husband Glenn conduct international teaching courses in Byron Bay.

  • Melissa Knapp

    Melissa started practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in 2001 as a means of managing severe back pain after being hit by a car. In 2003, Melissa exchanged her corporate career in advertising for Yoga and became certified as a Yoga teacher.

    Melissa continues to be inspired by Sharath Rangaswamy, Director of the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore, India. She inspires her students with her passion and her Hatha classes are creative, challenging and fun.

  • Susanna Topp

    Susanna has been practicing Yoga in several traditions for sixteen years, and teaching for eight years. She conveys the inspiration and joy she derives from her own practice.

    Susanna is particularly interested in balancing the nervous system and energising the body, which can promote deeper awareness.

    In earlier years she trained to become a Zen monk and a painter/sculptor.

  • Tracee Hollands

    Tracee is a caring yet challenging yoga teacher focused on creating a dedicated environment where students are encouraged to understand and gain clarity of themselves and community through their practice. Her emphasis is on extending her student's yoga practice beyond the studio and into daily life.

    Tracee invites all to her class not only to obtain freedom and flexibility of body, but of mind.

  • Trevor Tangye

    Trevor is a devoted student of Yoga and has been teaching Yoga since 1978. He originally trained in Iyengar Yoga before meeting and training with Pattabhi Jois, the founder of Ashtanga Yoga in 1988. Trevor is one of the few to be authorised by Pattabhi Jois in 2004 to teach Ashtanga.

    Trevor has also practised Shadow Yoga since 2001 and has taken inspiration from the founder Shandor Remete since the 1980s.

    "Yoga requires the student to apply principles of discipline and will without losing the qualities of pleasure and creativity; some patience is also required."

  • Yuki Nakazawa

    After Yoga became Yuki's favourite activity, he began attending numerous classes and studied Ashtanga, Iyengar and Hatha Yoga with respected teachers such as Pixie Lillas, James Bryan and Nicky Knoff.

    Yuki's goal is to educate members on how to feel more relaxed and energised, and loves it when people look happier after class than they did before.

  • Kiren

    Certified in Dynamic Hatha Yoga (New York), Kiren teaches a style that integrates breath and movement in order to rejuvenate and balance the mind and body.

    His personal journey into Yoga from the late 90s lead him to live and study in India, London, and New York including practicing Ashtanga Yoga along side the Dalai Lama’s monks in Dharamsala.

    Kiren has had the pleasure of teaching to a wide range of students including the Bolshoi Ballerinas and Hollywood Celebrities.
